So, we need low-calorie snacks all the time. Sometimes, cucumbers and celery aren’t going to cut it, right?

Shrimp is our protein of choice anyway thanks to its low-calorie count and its ability to be cooked in about 3 mins flat. Be they grilled, baked, sauted, or used as stuffing, shrimp are our fav when we, like, need to eat.

In honor of our small ocean friend’s super betchy nutritional abilities, we thought, “Why not ruin this with bacon?” So, we did.

Ingredients:

  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3-4 slices of bacon, cut into 2-inch sections
  • Fresh mango salsa

This couldn’t be easier, so no excuses. Preheat the broiler in your oven.

While that warms up, wrap each shrimp in a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Lay the shrimp on a baking sheet and cook that shit, turning once, until done. That should take like, all of 2 mins for each side. That’s 4 mins total.

Remove from the oven and serve with fresh mango salsa and cilantro.
