There are only two responses to the content Dr. Pimple Popper makes: grotesque fascination and utter revulsion.

We can go ahead and tell you we are firmly in the latter camp, but who are we to judge the harmless entertainment some of y’all like? Especially at a time when we all need a good distraction…

The good doctor, whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee for those who didn’t know, is stuck at home as she practices social distancing in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. That means she can’t even pop pimples since squeezing other people’s skin until fluids are released is basically the opposite of quarantining!

But Dr. Lee is enterprising as ever, and if she can’t pop pimples for real, she’ll make her own fun at home. And you can, too!

The dermatologist took to Instagram over the weekend to share something a little different — a video of her popping pimples on a plate of pastries! She wrote:

“POPPING DISTRACTION Let’s change gears here a little but keep up with the POPPING. A great and SIMPLE cooking project invented by @blessedbybaking that you can do with your kids at home during SOCIAL DISTANCING. I LOVE these Rice Krispie Blackhead Treats. They are interactive! Get that pimple popping fix in a FUN way at home! Watch the full video on YouTube NOW. Link in bio #drpimplepopper”

Here’s the vid, if you can stomach it:

Yes, that’s chocolate sauce being squeezed out of holes in marshmallowy Rice Krispie Treats. Ew.

Dr. Pimple Popper’s fans were mixed on the vid, with some LOVING the grossness of the goodies:

“wahhhhh! Know what I’ll be baking next week 👌👌😂”

OMG IM FIRST!”

“Thanks for my daily fix. Stay healthy and safe.”

“Omg this is the best! I’ve always wondered what a blackhead tastes like”

And others not so much…

“Ef this lol”

That’s just going tooo far.”

No God no just no.”

“No too far! You can’t mess with cake! 🤪”

“You must have a lot of time on your hands right now. That’s disgusting! Sorry”

Where do YOU stand on the confectionary pimple replacement? Is it just as disgusting? Not disgusting enough? Let us know what YOU think in the comments (below)!

Oh, and here’s the full video on how to make the disgusting (but probably delicious) treats on Dr. Pimple Popper’s YouTube channel:
