You’ve considered POTUS on Facebook; you’ve insured him on Twitter. Now, you can see him for a few seconds at a time on Snapchat too.

The Obama administrationannounced on itswebsite Monday the launch of the White House’s Official Story on Snapchat. Because there’s nothing more American than an overabundance of social media apps.

With over 60 percent of smartphone users between the ages of 13 and 34 using Snapchat, the White House may be able to reach a previously untapped audience.

According to the administration’s website, the White House is “joining Snapchat to engage this broad cross-section of the population in new and creative ways.”Whether that audience will become jaded by our political system or turned on by it, only day, and Snapchats, will tell.

Sadly, we’re more likely to find interior decorating inspiration than good old-fashioned drunk pics. But, hey, I’ll take what I can get.
