Oscar-winner, Goop-creator and publishing mogul Gwyneth Paltrow is going to be a mentor on Apples upcoming reality series, Planet of the Apps.

VaynerMedias Gary Vaynerchuk and will.i.am have also joined the show as advisers. A reality-competition show that will focus on the app economy, Planet of the Apps is Apples first television show.

Apple is co-producing the show along with Ben Silverman and Howard Owenss Propagate Content.

From what we gather, the show will be a little bit like The Voice meets Shark Tank, but with the focus on app developers.

In a statement to Variety, Paltrow said:

Developing and launching a business based on your own original idea can be exhilarating, but intimidating. This is a great opportunity to be part of a series that lets us use our experiences to help app developers break through and create viable businesses that will impact peoples lives.

Last month, the Planet of the Apps producers created a casting call on the shows website, looking for proposals from up to 100 app developers who make iOS, macOS, tvOS or watchOS apps.

The producers have also partnered with Product Hunt to do meet-ups in San Francisco, New York, L.A. and Austin to meet with tech entrepreneurs and do recruitment for the show.

Planet of the Apps isnt Apples only venture into television. Last week, it was announced that Apple Music would be the global home for CBSs Carpool Karaoke spin-off. Apple is also reportedly working on a scripted series starring Dr. Dre.

Planet of the Apps is expected to debut on the App Store in 2017.
