Unlike many stars in Hollywood, dont expect to find Kristen Stewart on social media anytime soon.

When you speak to someone on the phone, that is a decipherable, understandable exchange. But with text and social media, its essentially a dialogue with yourself and your interpretation of a shadow. Its not invalid; its a new language, explained the 26-year-old actress to V Magazine for their V106 Free Spirit Issue.

Stewart, who is the magazines cover girl, was revealing her interpretation of her new films portrayal of technology. She stars in Personal Shopper, which tells the story of a young American in Paris who works for a celebrity, but also has the ability to speak with her deceased twin brother, prompting her to receive messages from a spooky source.

But in real life, Stewart, who found fame as Bella in the teen fantasy film series Twilight, doesnt seem too interested in communicating with strangers specifically on social media.

[But] you also become addicted to that hit by yourself and with yourself, every seven minutes or so, and you end up wasting so much time just validating something very superficial in yourself, she told the publication. It has definitely changed us.

These days, Stewart prefers to continue focusing on how to tackle of demands of Hollywood.
