When will the weird food trends end? Are we just going to keep going until one of use makes something so disgusting we just decide as a society that we’ve had enough?

With the new sushi croissant from California’s Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, we might be getting close.

Sushi croissant

Way different than Kit Kat sushi, the sushi croissant is exactly what it sounds like: it is literally a croissant stuffed with sushi.

The sushi is composed of smoked salmon, seaweed, ginger and wasabi and will only cost you $5, if you dare.

From a bakery whose jobs page states, If youre as serious about baking as you are about getting baked, then get at us,” we can’t say this comes as much of a surprise.

According to the geniuses behind this invention, the treat was conceived purely out of boredom. “Its fucking weird, insanely delicious and it sticks a thumb in the face of pastry tradition.”

If the bakery is trying to stick it to some mainstream pastry traditionalists, job well done.
